The only glass design in the gallery, and deliberately not the default. It looks excellent over imagery and poor over dense text, so it is worth choosing rather than defaulting into.
How it is built
backdrop-filter with a saturate boost, over a 72% surface. Note the trade-off: backdrop-filter creates a containing block, so nothing position-fixed can live inside it — the widget portals its own menus out to the shadow root.
Accessibility
Falls back to a solid surface automatically under prefers-reduced-transparency and where backdrop-filter is unsupported, so contrast is guaranteed either way.
Every design in this gallery states that it is an AI assistant at the start of the conversation and honours prefers-reduced-motion. Neither is configurable, because both are obligations rather than preferences.
