When to pick it
Distinctive without being loud. Purple is the default of AI products, so Plum deliberately runs it dark and desaturated — closer to aubergine than violet — which reads as considered rather than generic.
How it is built
The accent is a tint of the ground rather than a complementary hue. Monochrome palettes are harder to get wrong and almost always look more expensive.
